“Regional Centre” implies a Center established or maintained by the IGNOU University for the purpose of coordinating and supervising the work of the Study Centers in any region.
An Operational Area is a particular area in a region that works for the needs of the students as it is obvious that IGNOU needs to have certain centers in every region of India so that education can be provided to the students across the country in an easily manageable way.
